Nippon Sanso Holdings Group Social Contribution Initiatives

Our group is dedicated to local social contribution efforts aimed at enhancing community well-being.

Environmental preservation Nikko tree planting activity: Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation employees and their families participated in planting saplings after hiking around the Ashio Copper Mine in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. Japan
Rafting and clean-up activity: Taiyo Nippon Sanso employees and their families enjoyed sports while collecting rubbish from a river. Japan
Conservation activities in rural areas: Taiyo Nippon Sanso employees and Thermos and their families participated in Tokyo Greenship Action by engaging in conservation activities in rural areas around Tokyo.  Japan
Nippon Sanso Holdings Singapore took part in a Plant-A-Tree activity: Held as part of the National Parks Board's OneMillionTrees movement, the activity was part of a wider initiative to increase the number of trees in Singapore and enhance the country's resilience towards climate change. Singapore
Installation of nest houses prepared by people with disabilities, to promote the recovery of native birds in the Madrid area. Spain
Community engagement Science class for kids: Taiyo Nippon Sanso has held science classes at elementary schools nearby the head office since 2007. The program aims to allow children to experience the fun of science through experiments using liquid nitrogen, and to stimulate their curiosity and imagination. Japan
Taiyo Nippon Sanso Hokkaido Corporation holds science experiment classes: In collaboration with the professional basketball team Levanga Hokkaido, we held science experiment classes using liquid nitrogen at elementary schools in Sapporo. Japan
Taiyo Nippon Sanso Sergio Soccer Clinic 2023: We have held soccer clinics run by Sérgio Echigo in cooperation with local soccer associations since 1990 in Chiba City and since 2005 in Osaka Prefecture with the aim promoting healthy development of youth through sports. We hold a soccer clinic involving a match against a team of coaches and a mini-soccer tournament between the participating teams. Japan
Taiyo Nippon Sanso Tsukuba Office Clean-up Activity: We held this activity together with neighboring companies to clean up the sidewalks and retention ponds around our offices. Japan
Sponsorship of the “Nutrition and Food Jar Seminar for Parents and Children”: Thermos sponsored an event for soccer moms called “Nutrition and Food Jar Seminar for Parents and Children—How to Provide Good Nutrition while Watching the Games.” The event was held by sol media inc. at the Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium, where home games of the professional soccer team Kawasaki Frontale are held.

Donation Monetary aid for the 2024 Hualien Earthquake in Taiwan:
Nippon Sanso Holdings made a donation of monetary aid through the Japanese Red Cross Society to assist people affected by the earthquake and help with reconstruction of the affected area.

Participation in support for the Kawasaki Kodomo Shokudo Network: Thermos donated its stainless steel pots and frying pans, as well as Shuttle Chef® vacuum-insulated cooking pots to the Kawasaki Kodomo Shokudo Network, an NPO providing a network of safe spaces where children can enjoy free meals, with the aim of helping the network to resolve the issue of increasing cooking efficiency.

MATHESON's Response to the Devastating Wildfires in Maui, Hawai: In the wake of Hawai Firestorm, partnering with the Maui Food Bank, we extended our support by donating four pallets containing over 6,900 bottles of essential water. United States
MATHESON team wanted to give back to the community during
the Christmas season by hosting a toy drive. The toys were donated to a charity affiliated “The House of the Carpenter” to benefit children from families in need.

MATHESON teammates helped support the Havanese Angel League Organization (HALO) and Paws and Claws in Berks. HALO is a non-profit organization dedicated to the survival and care of Havanese dogs, and Paws and Claws is another incredible organization that helps cats and dogs find their forever homes. We provided more comfortable rooms for children with cancer, who have to spend months at a local hospital. Spain

Funding for The Children’s Hospital:
Supagas provided funding for the installation of two foldable guardian beds for medical use in the surgical and anesthesiology wards at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.
