We manufacture and supply industrial gases and support a wide range of industries in Japan, the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
About Industrial Gases
Medical Care
We supply medical gases essential for hospitals and home-based care, cryopreservation containers utilizing liquid nitrogen cooling, and stable isotopes of oxygen used for positron emission tomography (PET) diagnosis.
Electronics
We mainly supply semiconductor (memory/sensor/logic) and electronic material gases used in the liquid-crystal manufacturing processes, contributing to the development and dissemination of cutting-edge technology.
Technologies Underlying Our Businesses
Three of the major technologies that underlie our industrial gas and electronics businesses are as follows.
Plants & Engineering Technology
We have total factory and engineering technologies for the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of air separation units (ASU). We have a track record of installing a number of highly-efficient plants with superior argon yield (air-derived argon collecting performance) both in Japan and overseas.
Gas Handling Technology
With advanced expertise in the manufacture, mixing, and purification of various gases, we supply gases safely using the appropriate equipment and safety technology. We support the production activities of manufacturing businesses and provide various values to our customers and society.
Gas Application Technology
Taking advantage of the combination of our unrelenting research and development of gas application facilities and equipment, and our gas handling technology backed by over 100 years of experience, knowledge, and accomplishments in gas supply, we offer gas application technology that leads to solutions to our customers’ requests, focusing on air separation gases and electronic material gases.
Performance
From the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017 (from April 2016 to March 2017), we have voluntarily applied International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017 and the previous fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, we complied with IFRS. We also adopted Japanese standards in fiscal 2015.
