Establishment of Fu Yang Gas Co., Ltd. in Taiwan

The company established the general industrial gas supplier Fu Yang Gas Co., Ltd., which supplies industrial gases and electronic material gases in Taiwan.

1999

Integration of businesses in the US and establishment of current Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc.

The company integrated Matheson Gas Products, Inc. and Tri-Gas Inc. in the US, establishing Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. The company thus became a general supplier, delivering industrial and electronic material gases and forming the prototype for its current gas business in the US.

2001

Taiyo Toyo Sanso Co., Ltd. 1995-2004

Establishment of Japan Fine Products Co., Ltd. in Japan

The former Nippon Sanso Co., Ltd. and Taiyo Toyo Sanso Co., Ltd. pooled their resources to establish Japan Fine Products Co., Ltd., an electronic material gases supplier for the semiconductor industry.

Electronic material gases began to be used in the semiconductor and liquid crystal display (LCD) industries.

2003

Establishment of Shanghai Taiyo Nippon Sanso Gas (currently Shanghai Taiyo Nippon Sanso Gas Co., Ltd.) in China

The industrial gas supplier Shanghai Taiyo Nippon Sanso Gas (currently Shanghai Taiyo Nippon Sanso Gas Co., Ltd.) was established in China.
